Tainted Milk

This tainted milk matter really make everybody headache. Even my mum who used to fanatically pro China worried about the safety of Anlene Milk Powder which she consume twice daily. She urged me to called the customer services and asked where the milk came from specially after learned that Anlene is under Fonterra company. Gladly the customer services told me that Anlene Indonesia's milk are all from New Zealand (hmmmm how if she lied???)
Then I remembered DH, just a few months back, used to drink Dutch Lady UTH milk twice daily which is imported from Singapore and Singapore imported some of their milk from China...pengan....But considering that DH daily drink 4-5 liter of water (he is also a Water Gallon like me)there is no likely that the melamine residue has chance to crystallize in his kidney (I hope... I pray...)
Then I checked, Megan milk powder , Procal Gold, by Wyeth also under Fonterra Company (this company is damn big, it is New Zealand's largest company and controls about a third of the world's dairy exports and produce a lot a lot brand of milk) luckily on the tin note that the milk was produced in New Zealand... meaning... logically... that it's impossible that New Zealand, a milk producer itself will painstakingly imported milk from China, right? But then there is a troubling thought, how is the country production is not enough and they have to imported it? Aiyo... I'm really scare and worry lah....I even not dare to finished my half opened soy milk powder produced by Brilliant, China. Help!!!!!!

This food safety issue must me put ahead in every countries otherwise we, the consumer, will get the hit worst!

Every time I thought or talked about the 54.000 sick babies and the 12.300 of them who must be hospitalize in China, really make me mad and sad, what if it happened to my baby instead? Gosh, they are all still very small and delicate and helpless but have to endure so much pain. Pity..pity.. life really not fair...
Just to imagine having crystal stone in kidney and the pain every time have the urge to pee make my heart knotted, make me goose bump. So sad....
Is making money is so much important that have to push aside all the logic and feeling and 'forced' the children sacrificed their health instead? Why the world have turn so cruel today? What's wrong with this people? What's possessed their mind?
Oh... I really fell unsafe.......

Wedding

Very very busy, last weekend to celebrate my cousin wedding. Dear cousin has been living in state for long time and there he met her lovely wife who is so coincidentally also from Sumatera but from Sumatera Barat/ West Sumatera.
Her families and friends traveled along way from around the world (a bit exaggerate hehehe, they came from Jakarta, Padang and USA) to attend this couple wedding ceremony.
I Planed to bring Megan to the wedding dinner at night, but have to cancel them because it was raining and I didn't want her to catch cold (epidemic in most of Asia countries now) so Megan stay at home with bibik.
But when I brought her to the ceremony in the morning, Ohhh she put on sour face and only accepted to be bau-bau by selected people although mummy has tried to dressed her so nicely in her Korean dress :) to show off!!!! Ah... pengsan lah...

Sudoku

I'm sudoku freak. I have it downloaded in my cellphone so able to play sudoku whenever, wherever I have time.
It help me a lot especially when I was on doctor office waiting for my turn when I was pregnant, or to killing time when waiting for friends or hubby.
Until now, still I manage to play specially when I was rocking Megan to sleep.
I read from some source, it help to prevent dementia on old people in Japan, not bad eh, have the pleasure ti play and even got the bonuses.

Bai Bai on Mid Autumn Festival

Every years we serve assorted of foods offering for our ancestors.
For my paternal grand parent, we bai bai at home and Mum prepare (bought, actually) several simple chai / vegetarian dishes.
For my Maternal grandparents, we bai bai in my grand pa's old house (which is almost completely inhabited, only for families gathering on special occasions such as this one). I never dared to wander in this house alone, always make me goose bump and it's sad to remember that I spent most of my childhood here before my grandparents passed away but I'll save the story for another post.
Anyway, back to celebration:

I CAN'T, I love all kind of cakes and Moon cake is only available once a year.
This year, we got them mostly from Singapore:
* 5 boxes from Pine Court Restaurant (Mixed nuts with assorted hams,low sugar lotus paste with macadamia nut, Lotus paste with double yolk,Mini cakes with assorted flavor and Golden treasure with lotus pate and yolk)
* 2 from Eater Palace (pastry shell with whole yam and kacang ijo shell with lotus paste and single yolk)
* 1 from Kwong Cheong Thye(low Sugar Cappuccino cake)
Only 2 boxes form local town.
So, I've been drooling since before Mid Autumn Festival and my patience finally payed off.
These are some I remember to take the picture before I ate them, 1 box of mini moon cake of assorted flavors from Pine court has been successfully polished off hehehe.
Oh yes, I like the Pine Court's design which's 6 size case represents 8 blessing for Happiness, Harmony, Love, Success, Prosperity, Advancement, Abundance and Luck. Nice.......

What would you do?

What would you do if you're in the middle of feeding your fussy eating baby and suddenly you got strong urge to poo? Would you go directly to loo and left your baby on his/her high chair or would you delay poo-ing with your rumbling stomach and finished feeding his/her? No body around to help you . Just you and you baby at home.

It happened to me this morning when I was feeding Megan her breakfast, lucky for me, there are 3 maid around so, I just called them to look after Megan while I rushed to the loo.

Gelato Bar

Went to Gelato Bar yesterday. Still at grand opening, so give all customer 10% disc.
I think they copy their interior design from some where because I think I've seen them somewhere.One element that caught my attention is Chick mirror ceiling with cool stainless steel lamps.
I order Grilled Salmon with baked potato, Orange berries juice and ICE CREAM: wild berries and azuki bean. Yummy!!
