I try hard not to introduce any sweets or candies to Megan too early on her childhood. Candies are bad for her teeth and ruin her appetite and also any kind of snacks such as crackers, chips etc.
I don't want her to be like her mummy who turn to fatty snacks when feeling distress (I fought hard to curb these, you know....).
I feed her store bought whole wheat bread (to introduce her the chewy texture of breads)or my own home made bread.
For her afternoon snack she eat barley soup or green peas soup, puddings and fruits. Some times she got a small pieces of 75%- 85% dark chocolate or some unsalted peanut to chew on.
Several times in her kinddies, there would be mummies who gave her some chips or candies to share, I politely asked Megan to return them and told them Megan's not allowed to eat them (I bet they must thought that I'm a strict mum)
But instead of all my effort, you know what she brought home from her food party which are provided from school?
All junks....school must give a good examples to parents right? about what to give or not to young children, school must nurture children good habit, not the other wise.
